Anyone ever fish Delta marsh, specifically the marsh to the south not the lake, from a kayak? Just wondering where to launch / park and what species to expect. Not looking for honey holes or specific fishing spots.

Seems like that place is perfect for kayaks;

You won't find much for fish in Delta in the fall as many/most fish that spent the summer there will exit the marsh as in winter it freezes to bottom or the water in deeper places becomes anoxic. You will be hard pressed to find water deeper than 2 meters anywhere .You might find a few small pike. Best access at S end is at Tin Town , Flea island, or S side of Clandeboye Bay.

Do you know if there's decent fishing in spring or summer? My kayak fishing for this year is pretty much finished but I'm already pre planning for next year.

Carp

Not quite the case as far as the catching part. Lots of good information on the internet for a person who wants to target them. A hell of a fight when you hook into one. Like a mini freight train. I mainly fish for them June and July. Lake Manitoba, Lake Winnipeg tributaries and marshes are prime places to angle for carp. Twenty five, thirty pounders are caught frequently every year.
