Hi All,
We are coming up today fishing tomorrow-Sunday. We stay up Netley Creek quite a ways with access to a boat ramp and overnight dock parking.
We've been coming for a few years now and there's been a day or so each trip where is challenging to get in/out of Netley in the shallow/marsh area about 3 miles up Netley (from the Red).
Given the low water conditions, our group is even more concerned about this crossing this low water area to reach the Red. I see a lot of South wind in the forecast. Uggg.
We keep an eye on the following:
https://wateroffice.ec.gc.ca/report/real_time_e.html?stn=05OJ022
Is the link above out best gauge (in conjunction with wind direction)?
We have a 17' Lund aluminum boat and a few other boats in our group that are bigger. Is there a channel/cut that's deeper through this marshy area?
Something else we are missing? Or are we looking at trailering to EOM or Selkirk if strong/consistent South winds ensue? Any advice from locals or those that know this area would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
