Thanks to all that gave me advice on catching big lakers. I got my first one two weeks ago. 42 inches, approximately 35 to 40 pounds using on-line calculators. Flat line trolling using a large (#4?) silver K-B spoon. Also caught a 32 inch on a rapala.

Kind of a weird fight. Didn't really "fight", more like sheer mass / power. Hooked in 50 feet of water but slowly went deep to the bottom in near-by 180 foot water. I'd get him up 50 feet or so and he'd just slowly go back to the bottom. Several of these "runs". Actually the 32 incher "fought" harder. Ran all over the joint.

Caught on Kamuchawie Lake (near Reindeer), an outpost operated by Laurie River Lodge.

Thanks again to all!!!!
