I am researching this lake for trophy Rainbows and Browns. I have never been there and figured this would make a great show!
I know that this lake is artificial bait only so my question is what is the type of jig to use and what bait to put on for early ice? :ice:

Any small jig, or ice spoon is OK, Mike. Gulp Alive worms or minnows. Various trout baits in bright colours seems to work as well (marshmallow type). I feel that these fish can check out an ice bait a whole lot better than a trolled bait(soft water)and bites are few and far between for me. For this reason, I like to go to Tokaryk and use salted minnows. These bows and browns put up a good fight,they don't give up. You'll have a blast.
