I really want to catch some whitefish this year, and was hoping someone has some advice/experience. I've seen a guy in Alberta use a slip bobber and a wire worm (I think) and then I've read to jig in deep water with a small jig. The slip bobber technique seems interesting, but haven't found details on how deep to have the hook, area of lake/structure, depth to go. I'll predominantly be fishing LOTW, Clearwater bay area, but am game to go elsewhere. Thanks in advance for any advise.

Sorry can't help on this one, this section is primarily for anglers who are new to fishing, you would probably have better luck posting in the The Manitoba Lodge (Members Only) section, you might get a response.
