I have been fishing with my brother in law Maurice (moefish) for many years. During that time he has seen many trophy fish come through the ice for other guys while he has landed enough 27 inch walleyes to fill a truck but he could never crack the 28 inch mark. Last week we went out on the Red for his first outing of the year. It was a nice mild day but the fishing was particularily slow. Shortly after lunch we switched over to chubby darters and a few minutes later while I was outside visiting I could hear Moe hollering for me to get back in the tent. When I got there Moe was hauling up his first ever master angler walleye and he was trembling with excitement. Its funny how some guys can seemingly land a trophy every other time they go out while others come close time after time and have to wait years, if ever, to catch one. I could tell this fish meant a lot to him so I say "Congrats you old fart!!"
