That's quite the haul! What area of the river were you? Are those not goldeye? It's difficult to tell from the photo, but it looks like the dorsal fin starts behind the anal fin.
Miracle mile east side 12 ft of water break point in bend did catch in shallows ! 40 fish in 1.5 hrs or so in real every cast!!

I used to do a lot of catfishing and catching goldeyes was a big part of the fun. I'd use a three-way swivel under the bobber and two circle hooks. More than once I'd have a double header on.
Going to have to try that rig next year!Thats a great idea for extra fun !

Stopped in at Gimli fish the other day to buy a couple of smoked gold eyes , fifteen bucks a pound ouch .They sure we’re tasty tho. Know any other commercial fishermen selling them super stock ? Hopefully somewhat of a better price ? Ty
