This is a sunfish from lake minnewasta. I believe it's a pumpkin seed to be more specific for they were stocked into the lake years ago but the colours are super crazy on this guy. It led me to believe it was an albino pumpkin seed. What are your guys thoughts on this. I threw a picture up of a normal pumpkin seed for comparison.

Pumpkinseed- extent and richness of color in a species and individuals can vary seasonally and by water depth the fish are inhabiting. EG , SM Bass taken from very deep water in a lake are typically darker but when caught in shallow water in the same lake are lighter in color. And this is even more pronounced in different waterbodies - perch in L Wpg are usually pale compared to say perch caught in Whiteshell Lakes.

Defiantly not a rock bass. The colora were just so different from the other pumpkin seeds we're catching. Had to throw it out there! Very beautiful fish.
