Made it out to the big pond twice this spring for some big post-spawn Greenbacks.

1st time was 3rd week of May and that day was the best Walleye fishing I’ve ever experienced in just 4 short hours: 5 over 28” including a thick 30” countless 26-27” fish and limits of eating sized fish. Water temp was 54 degrees.

Went out yesterday yesterday for the evening bite with a fellow yak angler and although the bite was not as fast and furious as it was two weeks ago, three over 28” came topside and limits were caught. Water temp was 68 degrees. Pretty sure the hot bite is pretty much done. Time to switch to
Bass and Musky.

Greenback fishing simply doesn't get much better than this and doing it from a yak makes it even more special! Congratulations! The post spawn bite on LW is an amazing bite. Too bad it tapers off once the water starts to warm.
