Is there a staging area to park and unload snowmobile trailer at Grand Beach/ Grand Marais? I did check the lake access in Grand Marais near Thorncliffe road, it currently looks like they started to make an access some time ago and then gave up, definitely not taking a trailer down it.

There aren't any really good spots right close to the lake for parking or access in Grand Marais. The Thorncliffe access they built in the winter a couple years ago and it got washed away first thing in the spring basically. I think a lot of people park in the Sand Bar parking lot and go from there. The only other parking lots are the beach parking lots right in Grand Beach, lots of room there. If you follow Piping Plover way to where it ends at the second parking lot you would be able to access the lake either by going over the dunes out onto the lake or by accessing the lagoon and following the channel out.
