Fly selection for small catfish on Assiniboine

I'm looking at picking up some flies for next season (Black Friday sale this week)...to target small Catfish (like the ones I have been catching with bait on the Assiniboine). I'll try from shore and troll or cast from canoe/kayak.

I was thinking:

Clouser Minnows (size 4) - olive, red, yellow
Beadhead Wooly Buggers (size 8) - blk, brn, olive

from Trickflies.ca

Any thoughts or suggestions on fly selection, sizes etc?

FWIW....I have never caught anything with my fly rod, but am determined to in 2022.

Wasn't deliberately targeting them but they were biting nymphs near the surface when I was trying for goldeye.

Woolly buggers are great for them when I deliberately target them.

I usually do well with Olive beadhead woolly buggers, around size 8 for the Red, so should be good for Cats on the Assiniboine also.
Also Vegas Leech or DDH Leech will work fine.

Thanks guys!

I have some nymphs and woolybuggers on hand, in anticipation of trying them out next season.
Speaking with Stu T. at Cabelas, swears by the DDH Leech for Cats. I think he's tied a few of them ;)
