Delta Marsh from a kayak?

I fished the portage diversion area years ago. I saw carp in the marshes as well as the channels and the lake itself during the heat of summer. Not that they easy to catch though.

Not quite the case as far as the catching part. Lots of good information on the internet for a person who wants to target them. A hell of a fight when you hook into one. Like a mini freight train. I mainly fish for them June and July. Lake Manitoba, Lake Winnipeg tributaries and marshes are prime places to angle for carp. Twenty five, thirty pounders are caught frequently every year.
I probably should have tried more traditional carp methods but I tried fly fishing for them. I know it can be done but I didn't know how to catch one on the fly.
