Headed out today with a few guests looking for cats. very low expectations. I honestly have never fished 49.5 degree water temps in late fall for cats but I gave it my best.......

We boated 15 cats, dropped another 5 and finished the day with a 29 inch, 10 lbs greenback on a cat rig.......What a Day! I have to say that due to the time of year, and water temps this had to be the most rewarding trip of the year and my guests were positively elated!!!

It is possible I didn't zero it correctly before hand. The 27 3/4 I got earlier this year was only 9lbs but was still fat. maybe I have a scale issue?. If you use a lip grip you have to account for the fact that the lip grip is 1 lbs. Will have to check it out.
