Hi all
Anyone who catches Burbot and throws it on the ice please let me know, I'll come get it from you. Thanks guys and gals.
I want to try the back strap fillets Yakatori style. Grilled over coals. The bigger fish are better but I'm not fussy. Thanks Steve

I had to google some yakatori style cooking recipes and now you’re not getting mine lol.
Haven’t caught a burbot down here, only up north in the Flin Flon area. That is one fish we never throw away.

Winter rig: 2016 AC Bearcat 2000 XT, Eskimo F1 Rocket 10”, Eskimo QuickFish 3i, Humminbird Helix 5 ice, 788Ci.

We've been catching Burbot every wknd from Selkirk to Hecla. They just bite the same time the walleyes are.

Delicious tasting fish.

Not to derail, but if you like Burbot, Do a north trip to Cedar in mid-late March - if the bite is on, which it usually is at that time, and you have an underwater camera, its can be a life-altering experience...lol!
