BIGGAMEFISHER Otter Falls, great little campground within an hours drive from the city, basic camp sites right at the waters edge, some electrical along the water as well, fish right off your site or a little drive to several other good spots.

SaltyMinnow Birds Hill is a great option as it is roughly 15-20 minutes north-east of Winnipeg on HWY 59.

For fishing, its a short drive to Lockport, where you can shore fish for Catfish, Drum, sauger, bullhead etc. There are tons of options to fish for.

I think this would be a great option

Is there inexpensive camping and fishing near Winnipeg?

Hi, Iím a snowbird and a full-time RVer, but sadly due to Covid 19 and the United States/Canadian borders being closed I had to leave My motorhome and partner back in South Carolina since heís American. Once the US/Canada borders open up Iíd like to fly back and drive My rig back to Canada for the summer and do some serious camping and fishing. But in the meantime Iím going to have to tent it for now which is perfectly fine.
I understand that thereís lots of fishing and camping just outside of Winnipeg, but I donít know where these places are other than Breezy Point. Iíd like to be close to Winnipeg, staying either north or east of the city to be close to the kids and the grandkids so they can come visit often and check up on Me.
Do any of the members here have any suggestions of campgrounds that are inexpensive and close to the city that have shoreline fishing available in the close vicinity of the campground? Now that My mandatory quarantines is over Iím itching to get out there...I look forward to your response and camping/fishing ideas and guidance!
