You are pretty much bang on! lol good detective work. We didn't cross the falls due to current with the kayaks. My judgement of where to go is to stick my feet in the water (easier from a kayak) and if I get constant temp changes (will go back and forth from super cold to warm), then that's a spot they'll like and hang out. We were told anywhere from 10 to 25 feet of water, but we actually fished in 55 feet of water. If you see me out there (always in a Jackson kayak), but sure to swing by and say hi. Good luck on going for those monster sturgeon, they are a blast to catch. Cheers!
Thanks for the comment on my Nutimik Lake report. I have spent too much time at work looking at those pictures of your sturgeon catches. No worries about your honey hole spot, as we all got good spots we don't want to share. My folks actually have a cabin out at Nutimik so I imagine I'll see your crew out on the water at some point. Been trying to play a bit of detective and figure out where about you guys are based on the shore line and other stuff in the background, lol. Pretty sure it is the shoreline between the mouth of the river and Sturgeon Falls (likely closer to the falls than the river mouth), unless you guys have crossed over the falls, in which case my boat is a bit small to cross the falls so then I have no idea where you would be. Anyways, fantastic work catching those amazing fish and good luck throughout the summer!
