I am not sure what a visitor message is but it would appear that I am limited to 100 characters per message. I will attempt to send you several messages in attempt to cover my suggestions. The best advise I can give you is: Let the fish tell you what they want. They can be very moody and change from day to day, even from hour to hour. Sometimes you have to make them chase it before they commit and some days less movement is better.
Hello Irwin, hope I'm not breaking protocol here, Question for you. I've had a number of touches where the walleye give a slight touch to the rod, however won't commit, I've tried a slight jigging motion which i'm really good at, rises, letting it fall to bottom. no point in trying a hook set as always comes up empty, have tried reeling up until I feel weight though rarely works, this is jig and minnow anything you could give me for advice would be appreciated. Generally to land fish I wait until I feel the weight of the fish before I set the hook, any advise you have is appreciated, even if it is to continue with the same course of action as it does work for me. On Friday cracked me up to get the walleye to commit I would jig a spoon on empty rod, then walleye would commit on dead stick. Any advice?...................Thanks! Wayne
