I ran into you in Cabela's last week. Thanks for the trout paste tip, it was the only way to get them last weekend at Paterson. Saturday was pretty brutal, we showed up at 11 am to blizzard like conditions. Fished for 8 hours, my brother landed on brown at 15". Only marked 2 more fish the entire day and neither of them were interested in what we had to offer. We were using the deadstick with trout paste and a jig. Sunday was a different story. We got onto the ice at 6:45 am and just set up 2 deadsticks each. Action was fast and furious. We probably landed about 10 fish with the biggest at 19.5". Lost about that many at the hole or by broken lines as well. It was still chilly out, so a thin layer of ice was freezing over the hole which we cleared every 10-15 min, but it was still enough to cut the line a few times. I will be trying to head back in a couple weeks. Thought I would give you an update, thanks again for the tip.
