Default Any Tackle Crafters out there?

Just wondering who else on this site makes their own lures? I myself got tired of factory offerings (hooks, skirts, hair, overall quality) and began to make my own jigs (teardrop, round, arky, etc., etc.) , spinner baits, chatter baits, etc. I use baked powder paints on my jigs, I had tie with quality flashaboo, tinsel, rubber, and occasionally hair.

With that being said I never decided to tackle hard baits (Jerk baits, Crank baits, etc.). I began tackle crafting about 8 years back and my overall investment grew. At first I partnered with a friend and we shared ideas/equipment back and forth. He took it to the next level and went into business (http://www.northstarbaits.com), this wasn't an option for me with a full time day job that ties up too much of my time.

Anyone else out there care to share pictures of their creations?

One time I took the willowleaf blade off a jig and replaced it with a big thumper blade.

For anyone interested, here was a chatterbait that I poured, and painted. Then what I have captured in the photos was me hand tying round rubber with flashabou. This color for me topped with a grub is smallmouth majic.

In my photos, I have captured a finished scrounger jig as well as a teardrop style walleye jig with a wire keeper. All of my jigs must have a wire keeper, I cannot stand it when fish pull the plastic off, these are a great insurance policy.

Great work! I thought about doing jigs during the summer in my off time. You clearly have the art down!

I make my own as well. Such a money saver and a good hobby I say

I saw a video of a guy making plugs with paint brush handles and I started doing the same thing and it's actually pretty fun. Bought myself a decent air brush kit as well and getting a bunch of different graphics on it.

I'm in the process of making larger plugs for some pike, just bought a chunk of balsa and been carving it down while watching TV.

I make in line and hairpin spinners as well as walleye spinners and jigs. I powder paint my jigs . I have started selling my tackle at craft sales. I will see how this developes as I approach retirement.

I've done some flies but have recently got into blacksmithing and this gives me an idea to make some spoons. I have made some wooden plugs aswell but just out of willow.
