Default Metal Suppliers

Hi everyone. Was at a supplier on Church Avenue where I used to purchase metal I needed for projects. Went there today and the building is vacant. I'm building bracket supports for my Ice Digger auger carrier. Going to make one set for my quad and one for my snowmobile. I'm needing rectangular tubing about 2 inches wide by about 1 or so inches in height. In a pinch I could use flat steel but I'd prefer the rectangular tubing. Any members know of any suppliers who sell to the public and don't require a purchase amount of minimal feet of material or minimal purchase dollar amount. Any help welcomed. My project has stalled before even starting.

If you have a welding shop in or around your area ask them if they have some steel they will sell lots of times what they have in stock or left overs from a job they have done.I work at a welding shop if you want you can PM me with what you want and I can see if we have it but I'm out in Stonewall for pick up.

Princess Auto, Canadian Tire and Home Depot all sell an assortment of metal project materials, usually come in 3 or 4 foot lengths. Pretty sure they would have what you need.

How much tubing do you need? I'm a journeyman welder I may be able to help you. Just re read your post, you only need a few inches?
