(Alternate title: The blind leading the blind?)
Hi everyone! I recently picked up fishing after going out once with my friend (who is also pretty inexperienced). I didn't grow up around here, so I don't have any generational knowledge on how to do stuff like this.
My kids saw the excitement in me after I caught a grand total of one walleye last summer (that I still talk about). They showed some interest and decided to join me on a couple of days of shore fishing near Mennonites Landing. Unfortunately, we caught nothing and their excitement wore off.
They saw me cleaning my stuff this year, as I am getting ready for the season to open in a couple of weeks, and they've shown some interest again. I'm hoping to learn from this forum so I can take my kiddos out this summer.
That's a really long way of saying hi, thanks for hosting this forum!
